Punk rock started in the mid-1970's as an irritating, underground take-over against mainstream music charted by the number or sales. Bands alike Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, and Rancid helped bring punk rock back in the mid-1990's. This time the blend of speedy, artless rock music with sweet-sounding pop melodies stayed on the MTV. 1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's never-ending endeavour to insult any grown ups in the neighbourhood, that album shed light upon a model dressed as an enema au pair on the booklet. The punk pop on the record is youthful and catchy including the monumental hit song “All the Small Things.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

4. Green Day - American Idiot
After declining from their mid-90's fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day faded from live performances to put together punk rock's first opera. 5. The Lemonheads - Ceiling Fan in My Spoon

6. The Offspring - Not the One
Offspring a highly influential American rock bandfrom California were one of the devoted punk renascence bands from the 90's. This French Canadian group emerged in the public eye in October with their studio album When I'm With You. This 2nd album is much better and covers the hit single “Meet You There.”
9. Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler

10. Weezer - Surf Wax America (Blue Album)
Though they are esteemed as grandfathers of the “emo” compositions, Weezer's music is also pure pop punk in style. “My Name Is Jonas” was their first hit and then a clip putting the rock band in a Happy Days episode stimulated to make the single even more popular.
